Hello everyone. It's the first week of the descent into winter but don't let it get you down. We are here to make you feel good throughout the cold days and nights ahead. For anyone who has tried to phone us, please do not attempt to leave a message on our phantom answer machine - we do not have an answer machine!. We are experiencing problems with a very unstable connection, so, if you get disconnected whilst talking, it's them not us. Just keep trying or email me. The turnout for this month's quiz was a little disappointing .The next one is on Wednesday 13th so it's back to normal. If you would like to reserve a place please phone or mail me. This week on Friday (1st) we have an evening of Irish folk for you - Craic are back. By popular demand we will be serving English fish and chips this Friday night. Show starts at 9 pm. To help us get an idea of numbers, if you would like fish and chips it would help if you let us know before the night. Please contact us. Saturday night we have our ever popular open night. Last week we had in excess of 80 people so if you would like to eat please reserve your table beforehand. The music starts at 9pm and is hosted as usual by Bel and B. See you all there. On Sunday we have the amazing group Kingdom with Route 403 for a session of jazz, swing and blues. This will be held in the Salle-des-Fetes opposite the Dixieland. Drinks and meals will be served there and booking is strongly recommended. Our last Salle-des-Fetes event attracted well over 100 people so book your place now for an unforgettable evening. Early start for this session - 6pm Geoff Young and Martin Sack will be playing each week on Wednesdays at lunchtimes and on Thursdays in the evenings. If you want to hear two of the best players of cool jazz and blues while you enjoy a meal from our fresh menu, come along. OK guys, see you soon, Laurence.
