Charente accommodation for Medium & Long-term rental

Many people who contact us are planning to move to the Charente permanently. Much of the advice on this site and on others, is to find accommodation to rent in the area before you buy. That's often easier said than done!

A New Forum

Knowing how hard it was for us to locate medium-term or long-term rental accommodation, we have decided to set up this page for people looking to rent and for property owners with accommodation to rent out.

How does it work?
Simple! you just contact us.

Let us know what you are looking for, or what property you have to rent and we will do the rest.

It's FREE!

There's no charge if you are looking for a property to rent.
And there's no charge to advertise your property on this page.

We're providing this page purely to answer a demand that has come from both sides over recent months. We offer information exactly as it is provided to us and cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies.
We do not publish personal or contact details of advertisers and we do not publish any details of people looking to rent.

Here are two wonderful properties available for ex-pats seeking medium-term or long-term rental accommodation in the Charente...
The first house is a newly built 3 bedroomed bungalow on the edge of St Severin - a small town on the Charente / Dordogne border. It has shops (Spar, boucherie, charcuterie, garden supplies, pharmacy), a bank, post office, doctors' surgery, bars, an English tea room, etc. all within a few minutes walk.
It is available unfurnished for just 450 euros (less than £355) per month.

There are more photos and details available, so please just contact us if you would like to know more...

The second house is a recently refurbished 2/3 bedroomed traditonal Charentaise house in a hamlet near Ste Souline. The nearest town is Barbezieux (about 15 mins drive away), which is quite a busy market town with large supermarkets, DIY stores, banks, restaurants, cinema, garages, etc., etc.

The hamlet itself is very tranquil and in the heart of rolling countryside.

It is available unfurnished for just 450 euros (less than £355) per month.
